Aladin
...despite the Rs 80 crore of special effects wasted on this film, Aladin has neither magic nor is it particularly magical.

Shah has the energy of the film on tap. If only he had got the story half as right.

Jail
Hey Mr Bhandarkar, it's time to think of a new formula, or choose a subject that thrills like Fashion.

Tum Mile
Yes, I'm glad Emraan and Soha kiss and make up but frankly it didn't need a disaster to do it.

Kurbaan
My problem with Kurbaan is not just that it covers ground similar to New York... My problem is also not just that it makes terrorism look ridiculously simple... My problem is movies that have decided to make a market of this. There's a formula at work here.

Paa
...not one that says "look at me, I am making a statement to change the world". But a quiet and subtle appreciation of the life we've been given and what we can do with it.

Chance Pe Dance
If he'd paid half that much attention to the script and injected an element of surprise or even of novelty, this would have been a much better film.

Rann
...the next time Verma decides to unmask the media, he should try doing a little homework. As of now, Rann is a joke, saved only by its fine cast.

Paathshaala
What I don't understand is why he expects people to pay good money to watch him play action star when they can as easily just play their PSPs?

Paathshaala
This is Sajid Khan's strange universe where gay jokes abound, wife swapping makes for humour, and innuendo is rife. Where the language is coarse and the humour in-your-face.

Badmaash Company
...so we get Mani Ratnam's politics. What we don't get is his art. This is perhaps his most beautiful film--and that's saying a lot for someone who makes such an effort to frame his scenes. But it is also one of his weakest central characterisations.
