    ...has its high points but in totality the film doesn’t grip you. For those who are expecting a film like 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi', one of Sudhir Mishra’s earlier films which artfully combined politics and love, this contemporary take on Devdas will leave you wanting for more.

    ...the storyline needed to be far more compelling and the editing much tauter. Needless to add, a lot of sequences defy logic, but at the same time, there are many moments that will leave Salman Khan and action film fans impressed.

    Even though the story is set in current times, the narrative plays out like a 90s masala flick. The dialogues must have been written to induce wolf-whistles but are cringeworthy to say the least.
