It's almost good, and then it isn't because you've read the story somewhere. It's an idea that's not new and yet, a decent effort. Would have been smarter move to put it straight to Netflix or Amazon.

This movie is slow to create the scary world, and even though you enjoy it, it takes too long to actually make you gasp for air. But what an awesome beginning for Anushka Sharma and Parambrata Chatterjee.

  • Welcome to New York

When you watch award shows, you know the stars in the audience are cheering and clapping for something else. They use the footage from the IIFA show and include it on terrible green screens and edits to make a terrible copy of Mel Brooks hit film The Producers. This film fails to extract even half a guffaw, and proves that Karan Johar is better off behind the camera and not in the front of it.

  • Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz

The film is about connecting with a wrong number, whatsapp forwards, and really bad life advice. In other words, 'Hashtag One Tight Slap' for wasting the audience's time.

You wish someone would teach Indian directors to tell their stories simply and quickly. They'd be so much more thrilling.

  • Vodka Diaries

The whole film revolves around him, and even though Shutter Island did the same, there can be no comparison of that prison of the mind story with this ghastly, cheap remake that ends up looking like an episode of a TV crime show.

...puts its fist in many pies: boxing, romance, caste wars, defiance and revenge. Anurag Kashyap brings alive small town Uttar Pradesh brilliantly. But the fist through so many pies laced with too many songs becomes a feast too difficult to digest.

  • Fukrey Returns

This film alas has none of the original humor, the jokes seem forced and out of really bad whatsapp forwards, the characters have no redeeming qualities and despite a bigger budget the story seems forced.

If the lead actors: Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha weren't so passionless in trying hard to be mysterious, this film could have been less painful to watch.

  • Tu Hai Mera Sunday

There are some glitches, and the title of the film is weird, but you forgive them simply because you want this life with friends. All in all, this movie is a delightful watch.

...Saif Ali Khan just doesn't convince us that he loves cooking, or his food truck team care about anything. The whole effort is unappetising.

...is louder and bigger and bolder and Varun Dhawan may not be Salman Khan, but he holds his own, both as Prem and Raja. Fun watch for the younger generation.

This version of avenge-your-daughter's-rape film is so gory and violent, you wonder if they're all living in some time warp. Who makes such films? And why should we watch such blood and gore?

  • Haseena Parkar

It's brave of a really young actor Shraddha Kapoor to want to play Marlon Brando in The Godfather. And full marks for effort. But Haseena Parkar is a poorly researched film, which just makes you laugh at the end of it all.

  • The Final Exit

The film does get to you, the story begins as eerie and scary, the landscape of the lonely highway is beautiful and metaphorical, but the length of the film and the silly conclusion leave you frustrated.
