  • Fukrey

...may not be laugh-out-loud funny as Delhi Belly, but the charming subtleties, detail to character and credibility of milieu makes it one hell of a ride.

  • Gippi

The way it pans out it reminds us of producer Karan Johar’s 2012 hit Student Of The Year. Only, the bling factor is a little diminished. It raises relevant points but the innocence or the lack of it seems manufactured.

  • Go Goa Gone

Neither here or there. It’s not art house. But it’s not entirely mainstream either. It’s not a satisfying zombie film. It’s not a full on comedy either.

  • Bombay Talkies

It’s cinema that’s not afraid to come out of the closet. Filmmaking that is brave enough to wipe off the make-up. Storytelling that’s brutally honest. Treatment that is refreshingly candid.

You can’t ignore Inkaar for its sheer topicality and its courage to look a problem in the eye though the director goes into blink mode half way through the film.

  • Dabangg 2

If Abhinav Kashyap tried his best to keep things realistic before going all out loud and turning it into a spoof of a Rajni film, Arbaaz Khan, the director of Dabanng 2 has no pretensions of objectivity or sanity.

If Rowdy Rathore, Dabbang or Singham is your idea of an entertainer, go for it. At least, these films don’t have any pretensions of being great, or even good, cinema.

  • Talaash

If you are willing to settle for the basics of the genre, you will have a great time watching it, especially if you have no idea of what’s coming. If you are searching for meaning, realism, logic or a complex plot, you are barking up the wrong tree.

  • Chakravyuh

...is one of those films that makes us wish Jha had treated this like an arthouse film and taken the effort to humanise every character in a way we would empathise with their motivations and kept it real. But the way it plays out, it’s been done to death.
