If you are looking out for an original script, give this a miss. But if you enjoy family dramas, with lots of laughs and tears go for this.

Speedy Singhs derives its plot conventions from a multiplicity of genres. It's a sports flick, a family drama, a Hollywood rom-com and a fluffy, feel-good Bollywood ride all rolled in one. Take your pick.

If you are looking for originality or anything deeper, this is not for you. Go for it only if you are looking for a light but forgettable watch.

...evokes nearly every Hollywood sport-movie cliche there is in tracing the transformation of the Speedy Singhs team from underdog to top dog.

Made specifically for the cross-over audience, the film tries to be honest to the theme. And this is where it scores its brownie points.

When films are this predictable, the only way you’re going to get people watching is to keep everything jumping. On that score, Speedy Singhs falls woefully short.

Few funny lines apart, you sense some script-guru's spreadsheet (Syd Field's?) being directly turned into a generic screenplay.
