  • Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu

...leaves you occasionally on a high, but also a tad disappointed. With the body of a modern thriller and the soul of a 1970s masala film, the idea behind the hybridisation had potential, but DMD falls slightly short.

  • Dulha Mil Gaya

The film has a predictable, even clichéd, storyline but writer-director Mudassar Aziz makes a half-decent watch out of it.

  • Desi Boyz

...may be I'm giving it more thought than it deserves, because frankly the film did make me laugh out loud about twice. If your expectations are that low, you may not be entirely disappointed with Desi Boyz.

  • David

...given that David had the potential to be three great films in one. Instead, it ends up being only half of what it promised.

  • Chala Mussaddi - Office Office

Director Rajiv Mehra and writer Ashwani Dhir are unable to take the humour quotient a notch higher in the film -- if anything, it's diluted -- and even with a playing time of around 100 minutes, the film seems too long.

  • Break Ke Baad

The film may not be among the best love stories ever made, but it delivers two hours of decent entertainment and leaves you with a smile at the end of it.

  • Boss

I imagine Akshay Kumar’s film slate to be decided thus: Look for public holiday, decide release date, work backwards. Script, cast and director are incidental.

  • Bombay Talkies

For a change, there's a more definite story than usual but it's so convoluted and stupid, you’d have actually settled for a film with a lesser story, but which entertained more.

  • Aurangzeb

Even though slightly over-ambitious, Aurangzeb is a good start for Sabharwal- he might well be a suitable inheritor of King Chopra’s love for good ol’ drama.

  • Aladin

Sujoy Ghosh may have had an ambitious plot - a SFX-laden fantasy like this needs a big scale, which it has - but his treatment bores you to death.

  • Agneepath

How much you enjoy it, though, will be directly proportionate to how much melodrama you can withstand. Old school Hindi film lovers, however, are in for a treat.

  • Agent Vinod

...is brilliant in bits, and incredibly asinine in others. It’s probably the most inconsistently good film I’ve watched lately, and a massive letdown. Which is a pity. It could have made for a rare, looked-forward-to franchise.

  • Agent Vinod

...while Bachchan is a strong reason to watch Aarakshan, pretty much everything else around him falls apart.

  • 3 Idiots

...has one of the most relevant issues of Indian society at its core, a heartwarming story woven around it and a narrative that takes you through the film effortlessly, leaving you happy, moved, and thoughtful in the end.
