The Hindi remake remains faithful to its Telugu original in every frame and perhaps that’s it Achilles’ heel. A deviation in the treatment and narrative would have made it a better film.

  • Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi

The film has a cracking first half which just zooms by. The second half lags a bit but only because the director is trying to tie all the strands together. But overall, the impact doesn't waver and that's what counts in the long run...

At a time when intolerance is at an all time high, we need more such efforts to remind us of the common humanity that binds us. Kudos to director Aijaz Khan for his all heart endeavour.

...director Nila Madhab Panda has made a film with its heart in the right place and let’s hope the message it conveys reaches the right pockets...

  • Gulaab Gang

What could have been a deeply sensitive film about the fight of rural women for a better life is reduced to a superficial product.

...is loud, silly and cheesy in places but is also funny by and large. It does make you laugh and hence this adult comedy is certainly worth a one-time watch...

There's a silly grin on your face as forgetting the grim reality of today, you feel proud to be an Indian, for a few moments at least...

  • Ghanchakkar

...all this would have made for a memorable comedy of misadventure but Rajkumar Gupta chooses the tread the thriller road. Sadly, he chooses to do so at a lethargic pace and hence, the punch when it does come loses impact because by then you’ve given up on the film.

...director Anil Sharma has taken too much upon himself. Yes, he has shown us what all his son is capable of doing but neglected to give us a well-rounded film in the process.

  • Gali Guleiyan

Dipesh has set the film in the dimly lit, crumbling lanes of old Delhi and tries to convince you that you’re watching two parallel stories occurring in the same timeline. He aims for a big reveal which isn’t required as the film would have flowed better without it.

Better writing would certainly have generated more laughs. Watch the film to experience a dash of vintage Govinda. He still retains most of his tricks and let’s hope gets better films in future to showcase them.

...is a sweet little comedy that's sure to put a smile on your lips. Nawazuddin's performance alone is worth the price of the ticket.

  • Fraud Saiyaan

Comedies need an emotional track for them to work. Or at least the gags need to be structured like a Mexican Wave so that you lose yourself in the slapstick and forget the logic. The present film fails on both counts.

  • Finding Fanny

Go watch the film for its wealth of quirky characters dealing with everyday crisis and emerging richer in the process. It will surely put a smile to your face, if nothing else…

It’s seldom that we make introspective films laced with dark humour. It’s great to find such superlative effort from first time filmmaker.

  • Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga

...full marks to debutante director Shelly Chopra Dhar for making a heartfelt film about a topic that needs to be brought out in the open. Let’s hope the film gets people talking about it, especially in our small towns and villages, where closed mindsets still prevail.

  • Dear Dad

Go watch this short, sensitive film that gives out the message that parenthood has nothing to do with one’s sexuality.
