Internet is really where the scene for this film's genre is. Would I've happily caught this online? Yes. But the invitation is for the big screen? That's being thoda sa ambitious, I think.

  • Sarkar 3

...I don't particularly hate this Sarkar, the film. One just begins to feel indifferent towards it beyond a point. Which isn't a good thing, I know. But then, if “it is what it is” kinda casual indifference follows plain dejection, and natural helplessness, then so be it.

  • Allah Ke Banday

The gangs and their slums are not the same anymore. This would be a minor issue if the picture's setting wasn’t completely the point itself. It unfortunately is. There is no other story. Well. Too bad.

  • Luv Ka The End

This is just an XL sheet movie from a supposed docket that defines youth as some condescending, amorphous term from marketing alone. The filmmakers are desperately trying to look in from the distant outside.

  • Haunted

This is "India's first stereoscopic 3D film", ideally made for audiences that in business lingo are called 'B' and 'C' centres. Haunted evidently wants to be the Wanted for the same crowd.

  • Bheja Fry 2

The sequel's forced the filmmakers to look for a plot on their own. I'm not sure if they did find one eventually. At least I can’t quite find it in the film.

  • Hunterrr

The script on the other hand tries far too hard to be sensitive and serious at the same time. It begins to simultaneously disappoint at all levels.

  • F.A.L.T.U

Frat-boy, crass fun is a legit Hollywood genre. The unlikely issue with Faltu is it isn't faltu enough. It unleashes a lengthy manifesto for educational reforms instead.

  • Saaho

They let loose on an eager audience merely set-pieces in quick succession, and so much random anth-shanth, akar-bakar, that it becomes impossible to saho (bear) Saaho, once you get closer to three hours.

  • Akira

Bored out of my wits, watching these good fellas with hardly anything significant to do, I could only feel a slight kira (insect) up my bum — desperately itching to go home.

  • Pati Patni Aur Woh

...a whole lot of random desi-lad humour, in what's essentially a naughty-uncle comedy about the wife, and woh (the other woman). Couldn't find anything funny here. Surely this sort of stuff has an audience. Hope the film finds it then.

  • Mere Pyare Prime Minister

That you don't feel for anyone in this film (let alone, the issue), with the camera hovering around a bunch of parallel songs/story-lines, aimed to extend a simple short film into a full-length feature, is perhaps worse.
