    ...the problem with this film, vis-a-via the inspiration, is that it has too much of built up and pretty bad execution. The scare factor does not work.

    ...could leave you loaded with thoughts and doubts. The fact that it is more of a journey without a regular conclusion could be disturbing to some part of the audience.

    Its effort is to bring up the evil called Dowry into focus and evoke some thought around it. A rather wasted effort. Having said that, Daawat is fairly entertaining.

    ...is its very original and rooted in Indian countryside storyline. And as the story flows the director manages to bring to life so many aspects of rural life that it makes Daayan Ya Baayen very real and entertaining.

    Brokeback Mountain it most certainly is not. DYNJK is not handled with such maturity as the Hollywood Oscar winner. Here you don't feel empathy for the character by pity for yourself.
