  • Inkaar

...could have been truly radical. But it becomes a film that prefers to cop out, rather than deliver on the promise it held out so bravely in its initial passages.

  • Mardaani

The resolution, showcasing bloody vigilante-ism, is problematic. Is that the only definition of ‘mardaani’, and is that something to be celebrated? Something more pragmatic, and yes, more real, would have served its consistently watchable leading lady, better.

  • War

The chief trouble with War is that all the space is divvied up between Hrithik and Tiger, and they are so busy strutting across the screen, in all their glory, so ripped, so brawny, that the poor baddies don’t really get a chance.

  • Life Goes On

Some subtlety would have done this film, which had potential, a world of good. The performers strive to be credible, particularly the seasoned trio of Tagore-Karnad- Puri. It's a pity the film lets them down.

  • Hate Story

...what we get is an oomphy, oozy femme who is uninhibitedly fatale, and capable of steaming things up, but stuck in a story which starts off as credible but all too soon plunges us into a pit of disbelief.

  • The Xpose

The murder mystery set in the backdrop of big bad tinseltown should have been pacy and cheesy and racy, but ends up being a bit of a drag. Despite all the fun and games.

  • Teen Patti

The trouble with `Teen Patti’ is not that we’re all too familiar with its central idea. It lies in the patchy way the plot is laid out, and in the characters who do not, at any point, feel completely filled out.

  • Luv Ka The End

...there's so little else in the film that it all flattens out in an alarming sit-com like fashion, as this very now film is reduced to using the creakiest comic devices from old-style Bollywood—itching powder, and laxatives.

  • Timeout

...raises a subject that is usually not tackled with any seriousness in our movies, places it at the heart of the story. For that alone it deserves props.

  • Baby

...the niggling discomfort caused by the pandering to stereotypes ( and the requisite nod to tokenism) colours our viewing. There’s also the fact that though this film looks always to be on the move, it frequently stalls.

  • The Sky Is Pink

...barring some passages, it feels both constructed and sentimental. With the material at hand, you expect a legitimate heart-breaker ( how else can you look at a young life threatening to be cut short?) but this one left me mostly unmoved.
