  • Mubarakan

Post-interval, the film’s funny bone gets lost. It becomes a long, maudlin harangue on family values and good sisters and brothers, while slipping in a few distasteful jokes about wives and women.

  • Main Tera Hero

The good Govinda fronted for him, David used his superlative editing skills to keep up a rat-a-tat-pace, and we all happily rolled down the aisles. But it’s been a while since Dhawan hit his stride.

  • Yaariyan

...seems to have been cobbled together from ‘Main Hoon Na’ and ‘F A L T U’, and ‘Student Of The Year’, even going back to ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’.

  • Mumbai Saga

In Sanjay Gupta’s better films, the bad guys used to be more interesting, the action used to be classy. This John Abraham-Emraan Hashmi film, however, feels jaded.

  • Zanjeer

There really is nothing in this film that catches your eye except for a few set pieces, and a new male face which could make some space for himself if he gets something better.

What you need in such films with their flimsy one-line plots, is the magic and mystery of love between two people. And full-blown wonder. All in short supply in Jab Harry Met Sejal, which comes off as a mix of Ali’s older films, in its flashes of Jab We Met, Tamasha and Love Aaj Kal.

  • Race 2

...looks exactly like 'Race'. Which may have been intentional because plush locations and pretty playthings and buff men are very much Abbas Mustan trademarks. But all it does is cause a dismally same-same feeling.

  • Race 2

This is yet another in the line of the Quirky Delhi Film, a genre that has long run out of steam. The novelty lasts for a few minutes. After which it's all downhill.

  • Alone

The ingredients for a horror film are all there, but ‘Alone’ very quickly becomes a tussle between the scenes that want you to be scared and the sequences where you are supposed to slurp at all the eye candy...

  • Maatr

Crass, cringe-inducing and downright sordid, this Raveena Tandon rape-and-revenge thriller makes you ask just one question -- who writes this stuff?

  • Love Sonia

More focus on what happens to the girls when they are yanked from that life would have made Love Sonia fresher, and given the characters more to play with. That is not something we see too often, and there is a tiny glimpse of it in the film. The rest of it is same-old.
