  • Department

No one in the cast seems to care anyway. Probably, all of them realised this was a script where 'acting' is all about shooting or being shot - depending on which end of the gun you are made to stand.

  • Dedh Ishqiya

Director Abhishek Chaubey goes one up with treatment in Dedh Ishqiya, seamlessly fusing his tale of love in the time of intrigue with suspense and humour. He also reserves ample space to excel for each of his talented actors.

  • David

...tries to push the envelope on Bollywood innovation with its multiple tales. Ironically for a film with three stories to tell, it is weak on content.

  • Dabangg 2

If Dabangg 2 was always about Salman Khan revelling in top form, the superstar doesn't disappoint. He makes Chulbul Pandey even more lovable this time- cool shades, wry humour, crackling stunts and smooth chemistry with the pretty Sonakshi, all very much in place.

  • Bombay Talkies

It leaves a warm afterglow reminding us that cinema in India flourished thanks to its audience. Bollywood in its 100th year has given fans a nice gift.

  • Besharam

...tries bringing back funk to the Bollywood screen. It would have worked if Kashyap and company focussed on just that bit instead of compromising on the novelty factor for 100-crore basics.

  • Barfi!

...a pleasantly different film, only it isn't an extraordinary one. That's because despite the brilliant characters and setting, the film doesn't have an extraordinary story to tell.

  • Bajatey Raho

This film looks cliched when it tries to be funny, jaded when it sets out to thrill (the second half, where suspense mattered, simply falls flat), and goes all soppy with emotions.

  • Aurangzeb

You have a cracker of an idea, the build up is great too, and then gross lack of imagination turns everything into a mangled mess post interval.

  • Arjun

...isn't the best kiddie flick you'll ever see but it could work as a starter's guide for the little ones, on one of India's most fabled warriors.

  • AkaashVani

The film could have done with a more crisp narrative. At a near two-and-half hour runtime, you wish the tale was cut short by at least an hour. What works for the film, though, is the cast.

  • 10ml Love

...is unusual by Bollywood standards, tracking love, fidelity and desires. But the film needed more assured direction. A talented cast does an impressive job, though.
