    Watch it if you can forgive seeing much-loved stars reduced to playing stereotypical roles. Watch it if you want Bollywood to be stuck in a pathetic time-warp!

    The film is a remake of a Telugu hit Okkadu (2003). It does seem that South Indian cinema has moved on and is exploring some wildly interesting stories, while Bollywood is perplexingly keen on retracting steps. This has to stop.

    ...doesn’t work largely because the characters don’t. We don’t care at all about the glossy-lipped girl, or the expressionless boy. They are one-dimensional characters constantly doing things out of their league and desperate for an applause.

    ...treatment of the subject is scattered and ridden with flashbacks. The film seems to have internalised its title - 'it's good to be bad'.
