  • Maximum

Ticking all boxes you expect from a film belonging to the genre, Maximum ends up as a ‘me too’ among many RGV-inspired films in the last few years, even though that may not have been the intention. Sadly, there was potential.

  • Shanghai

Shanghai, Banerjee’s fourth film, is his best. It’s also a very important film, in addition to being consistently engaging and extremely satiating.

  • Agent Vinod

...is brilliant in bits, and incredibly asinine in others. It’s probably the most inconsistently good film I’ve watched lately, and a massive letdown. Which is a pity. It could have made for a rare, looked-forward-to franchise.

  • Agneepath

How much you enjoy it, though, will be directly proportionate to how much melodrama you can withstand. Old school Hindi film lovers, however, are in for a treat.

  • Players

That little unpardonable deed aside, Abbas Mustan ensure Players to be a laugh-riot, a comedy the writers of The Italian Job could have never imagined possible.

  • Desi Boyz

...may be I'm giving it more thought than it deserves, because frankly the film did make me laugh out loud about twice. If your expectations are that low, you may not be entirely disappointed with Desi Boyz.

  • Rockstar

Imtiaz deserves credit for trying his hand at something different from what the mainstream churns out every week. And for bringing back the one aspect sorely missing from Hindi films lately -- music.

  • Soundtrack

Incoherent sometimes, but enjoyable eventually, Soundtrack deserved to be a better film. In its present state, it's not-so-bad either.

  • Force

If hardcore action is your thing, give Force a shot. It lands quite the solid punch.

  • Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

The brief must have been clear: 'Don't use your brains, just do what we've been doing for years now. It worked the last time; it'll probably work again. If not, we'll try again the next time.'

  • That Girl in Yellow Boots

For a change, there's a more definite story than usual but it's so convoluted and stupid, you’d have actually settled for a film with a lesser story, but which entertained more.

  • Not A Love Story

When Not A Love Story started playing, it seemed like a bad film so enjoyable that it could be recommended. But soon, you realise that this kind of skullduggery wouldn't be advisable for anyone.
