...is a powerful film that pushes us into a dark cruel world. When we emerge, shocked by the violence, you realise that you are equally primitive when you want to clap after the last gun is fired. The film has been shot beautifully and supported by fantastic performances.

...the comedy remains shallow: the jokes do not go beyond buxom women and male genitalia. It could have been very funny had they aimed at 'Carry On' series, but they do not go beyond bad Whatsapp jokes.

The conflict is fine, the principle characters beautifully etched, but what drags the film down is its predictability and its slow pace.

  • Global Baba

...this is a clever little gem that may slip through the cracks simply because the film does not have A-listers. Global Baba is a clever satire, written well but it fails to deliver the punch against fake godmen that Oh My God did.

  • Fukrey Returns

This film alas has none of the original humor, the jokes seem forced and out of really bad whatsapp forwards, the characters have no redeeming qualities and despite a bigger budget the story seems forced.

The audience comes out of the theater, deafened by the background score, full of tears after having wasted two hours of their lives.

  • Freaky Ali

The story starts out to be great fun, but it becomes so repetitive in the middle that even the jokes are a drag and then dragged down by Bollywoodisation of the story...

  • Force 2

The problem lies not with the paint by numbers thriller where the good guys are chasing the baddie. The problem lies with giving the villain too much screen time.

...desperately pretends to have literary aspirations but ends up being a ridiculous romance where heroine runs to hero in a really flouncy white dress and brown suede boots.

  • Fanney Khan

The film is based on a story from a Dutch film 'Everybody is Famous', but for a music based story the music isn't up to par. What shines are performances for Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Everyone else, especially his daughter deserve a good hiding.

  • Family Of Thakurganj

A veritable smorgasbord of character actors who are individually good and often are all crammed together in a hotch-potch revenge and double cross drama where the motives are so blurred that you don't care.

You want to say nice things because the issue of gay rights is important, but this film is riddled with cliches about a patriarchal family where the gay son has not come out. It's a tedious watch.
