Chadha conveniently hides his weak script behind action, more action and some more action. That's not enough buddy! Give us a story, and a sensible link!

  • Krishna Aur Kans

For those venturing to make movies especially for children, my request would be to keep it clear of violence and gory ends to characters, both of which you will find aplenty in Krishna Aur Kans, which in effect is its downfall. The length too is a sore point.

  • Welcome Back

As an audience, you marvel at the sheer audacity of this film to rope in some finest actors of our country and give them a scriptless stage.

  • Welcome Back

Made specifically for the cross-over audience, the film tries to be honest to the theme. And this is where it scores its brownie points.

...a big letdown. It's like a batsman is going great guns and because of his 'arrogant overconfidence' attempts a reverse sweep to be clean bowled when there was no need!

At the start of the film you are assured the ingredients are just right, but as the movie progresses, you realize that Akshay Akkineni has crossed the line when it comes to stretching a horror sequence - it goes from being spooky to horrific to a joke.

Mozez had the script, brilliant music and super, way beyond performances, but he spoils the broth by trying to add too many ingredients all in one go.

What really gets to you is the background score that goes boom, boom, boom, every time there is an action scene in the jungle, some jungle scenes, or scenes where not much is happening. RGV tries to hit out at you, any which way.

While there is no harm in trying ones hand in psychological thrillers, one has to make sure there is enough input to execute the concept with some level of creativity and curiosity for the viewer.

Unless it is packaged like the films of the 80s the way Dabbang did, UP and films on its system will continue to bore. Big time. So will the talented Bajpayee.

  • Happy New Year

So what is new here? Nothing really! The same references to past movies; The same 'mera baap chor hai' revenge story; The same inconsequential dance songs.
