Prem Kaa Game
...works due to several reasons. Firstly, because of its topicality which strikes the right note in this season when India and Pakistan are seeking a new equilibrium in their relationship. Secondly because of its narrative style which is the antithesis of nationalistic chest-beating Gadar-like films.

Prem Kaa Game
...is sure to usher in a crackling Diwali at the box office and give the audience paisa vasool entertainment, with fine performances by both Shah Rukh and Kareena.

Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai
The film may not boast of a great story, a scintillating script, but it has enough to keep you smiling.

Karthik Calling Karthik
The screenplay does tend to get a bit clunky and the drama somewhat heavy as the director looks for text book resolutions of the teasing problem. But, by and large, there is a thrill factor that keeps the momentum on.

Murder 2
There may be nothing original about the story, yet Murder 2 has enough to give the masses a mast time.

Love Sex Aur Dhokha
Don't expect time-pass entertainment. Think beyond run-of-the-mill and see how Ekta Kapoor re-invents herself as the producer of contemporary Indian cinema's first full-blown experimental film.

Love Sex Aur Dhokha
...largely follows the idiom which Abbas Tyrewala enunciated in his debut venture, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, reiterating his use of youthful lingo (strange becomes ajeebs here), wisecrack humour and 'cool gang' bonding, with a celebration -- and a spoof -- of the traditional Bollywood 'andaaz' (style) of essaying romance.

Pyaar Impossible
Nothing stupendous here. Just a sweet and soppy flavour with a picture-perfect Priyanka: Watchable.

Lafangey Parindey
A little more verve however would have gone a long way in energising the show.

Badmaash Company
...may not be as buoyant as Bunty aur Babli, the original badmash couple in recent cinema, but it does make for some merry viewing.

Badmaash Company
The director chooses to use the format of a road movie to weave his romantic story. Only, the road seems to be a bit long and too straight. There aren't too many twists and turns in this cross-country cruise; and the ones that are there, are quite-quite predictable.

Shaapit
The film works not so much due to its story. Rather, it's the way Vikram Bhatt tells his story -- with a certain polish and pizzazz -- that draws you in.

Patiala House
Watch this family drama for its redefinition of patriotism in a going-global age, dominated by the growing Indian diaspora.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan
It is the verve factor which works admirably for the film which doesn't have much to boast about in the story department.

Lanka
It is the length of the film and its somewhat laboured tenor which works against it. A bit of pruning and editing would have worked favourably for it.
