  • Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2

Far from feeling offended by the movie, you end up feeling sorry for its limited vision. If the film were actually brave, it would offer a more balanced perspective. This one is of the whiners, by the whiners and for the whiners.

  • Singh Is Bliing

Watch it if you can forgive seeing much-loved stars reduced to playing stereotypical roles. Watch it if you want Bollywood to be stuck in a pathetic time-warp!

  • Calendar Girls

National-award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar makes a film about how these girls are exploited in the glamour world, while making sure his film exploits them as well. Talk about ironies.

If you have the resources, filmmaking expertise, and an obvious passion for cinema, why not back good films that take us forward and not a hundred steps behind?

  • Phantom

It's disappointing indeed to see a film with such a passionate story, turn out this bland and lackluster!

  • Manjhi

Despite the flaws, the film is watchable for Nawazuddin's exceptional performance and the highly inspiring story!

  • All Is Well

It's perplexing how Umesh Shukla, who made the simple and entertaining OMG Oh My God!, could have come up with this sub-par deal.

  • Brothers

Oscillating wildly between a sports movie and a melodrama, this is your dose of punch-drunk love!

  • Gour Hari Dastaan

The dour performances don't help either. Neither does the thick, gloomy air of the film. While the story is electrifying and inspiring, the film doesn't manage to do justice.

  • Jaanisaar

...the tale is indeed a remarkable one. If only there were performances to back these inspiring, spirited characters, and a film that worked together as a whole, instead of delightful separates.

  • Bangistan

...attempts to tell a well-intentioned message through humour, and in the end, both are lost on the viewer. The film, based on our novice bombers, is sadly low-impact!

  • Drishyam

...the film remains watchable for the story, a few suspenseful moments, and Tabu's electrifying act.

  • Masaan

...the film must be watched for it is as path-breaking as it is predictable, as brutal as it is tender, and as cynical as it is romantic!

  • Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Even if it meanders aimlessly for a while, the story reaches its destination in the end. And I doubt if anyone in the audience will leave the theatre unaffected.

  • Guddu Rangeela

The film might have seemed an interesting, ambitious, black-humoured take on crime in the menacing hinterlands. But what we get is a watered-down version of the above.

...the film talks about women's rights while including these sexist elements, and gives a muddled message. However, the film redeems itself to an extent by the story it chooses...

  • Hamari Adhuri Kahani

Mohit Suri is a fine director, but has often displayed a misogynistic core in some of his films. That continues here, as the story takes one shockingly regressive turn after the other. It's difficult to process that Mahesh Bhatt has penned this story.

  • Bombay Velvet

If you can forgive the film's shortcomings, this period crime drama is worth a watch for its visual splendor and masterful performances.

Kudos to story, screenplay an dialogue writer Juhi Chaturvedi for bring us this eccentric comedy that's as full of laughs as it is full of feeling. And what astute storytelling by Shoojit Sircar!

  • Gabbar Is Back

This is a low-brow, gimmicky film that capitalizes on one of Hindi film's most iconic villains, and more unforgivably, on the aam junta's frustrations with the system.
