...this unconventional story is crisp and the first half steals the show. The second half is slow in parts and the end is a tad rushed.

Picture this, Katrina tells Hrithik, "Hume dabbe mein sirf tab hona chahiye, jab hum mar jayein". (We should be in a box only when we're dead). That metaphor doesn't quite apply to Indian sensibilities and that's the case with most of ZNMD. You might just feel a strong disconnect.

Shah Rukh Khan is experimenting with each film and must be admired for his zeal to attempt something out of the ordinary and not playing it safe. He has given it all to the film and makes you believe in Bauaa’s madness even in the film’s most fantastical scenes.

..a madcap comedy. The likes where nothing makes sense but grown men act like retards and yet save the world. It’s hard to write a recommendation for such a brainless romp.

The production, the sound, the action is all top notch. But the writing is King of the game in a film. The technique is merely a pawn. You can sacrifice the pawns but not the King.

Somehow, the actor has been overshadowed of late by his (Kamal Hassan) self-indulgent filmmaker avatar. He does everything right in the film as an actor but we're still left with an unsatisfied appetite as we walk out of the theatre...
