One Night Stand
Critic reviews and ratings
-
This is an erotic emotional excursion that makes me curious to see what the debutant director would attempt next.
-
...is still an average film with a run-of-the-mill theme. It, however, is one of the better finished products with a similar recipe.
-
...suffers due to a weak script.
-
Even with a compelling idea, One Night Stand remains singularly superficial.
-
...for all its noble feminist intent -- ends up balancing a 'hard-hitting' Sunny Leone soliloquy back to back with a skimpy Sunny Leone item song. Sigh.
-
...a one-time watch.
-
No matter how hard the director tries to liven up the proceedings, the absence of genuine substance prevents One Night Stand from rising above the irretrievably banal.
-
...moves briskly but fails to lift off above the ground.
-
...I can’t really recommend One Night Stand. But I think we need to acknowledge another marker in the evolution of the Hindi film heroine.
-
For a film which wants to strike a blow for feminism and sexual freedom, there are some troubling misogynistic touches about ‘hot’ secretaries, and ‘stay-at-home’ wives. Careful, your slip is showing.
-
Unlike the upbeat Meet Bros song in the film, Do peg maar aur bhool ja, this one will take much more to scrape off from memory.
-
How much better One Night Stand would have been with better actors, a more committed filmmaker than Jasmine Moses D’souza!
-
That Sunny Leone has a great body is a given. But to make her do the sati-savirti, mom, homemaker is a stretch.
-
...is about that same old stale feeling.
-
a very competent film. It's commercial packaging does create a bit of contrast to its relevantly real themes. But that's not really a bad thing.
