  • Pari

A more dramatic story and tauter screenplay would have turned it into a true blue horror film. But in the present form, the only feeling it evokes is of sadness brought out by the fact that a brilliant opportunity got lost.

  • De De Pyaar De

The writing of the film packs a few punches but they all come in spurts. A quicker pace and a pithy script could have elevated debutant director Akiv Ali’s film a notch higher.

  • Dabangg 3

With some loopholes and a little flawed writing, Dabangg 3 does leave you feeling a bit lost in a time when content-driven films are the trick of the trade.

  • Rangoon

While the actors give it their best shot, Rangoon just isn’t able to tell its story with consistency. The movie tries to pack in too many set pieces and ideas in one narrative.

  • Madras Cafe

It has decent action, gun fights and political drama. It entertains to a fair degree as well. The climax conjures up good steam too. But it never quite does enough to match up to its promise.

  • Commando 2

Actor Deven Bhojani, known for his comic timing, impresses with his technical finesse over the action genre in his directorial debut. A little more attention to the plot would have turned it into a far better product than it is right now.
