  • Babumoshai Bandookbaaz

...appears superficial because it fails to explore characters and their idiosyncrasies. It states everything about them in a matter of fact tone which eventually slacken the audience’s connect with them.

  • Raid

With a tighter editing, slightly less focus on the wannabe love story and a lesser dose of melodrama, Raid could have been a gripping thriller.

  • Mohenjo Daro

Watch the film if Hrithik’s physique, dancing skills and flexibility are enough to attract you but you can totally avoid it if a grandeur does not make up for the lack of substance, facts and logic.

  • Phantom

From jingoistic dialogues to really vague ideas, Phantom has an overdose that mars the experience of an otherwise decent thriller.

  • Baar Baar Dekho

...is hardly even a bird’s eye view of the new generation’s choices and desires. Its philosophy lacks strength and gloss takes the centre stage right from the beginning.

  • Hichki

...is a well-intentioned film that will give you ample opportunities to wipe tears, but it doesn’t make a strong comment.

  • Game Over

...reaches its triple-header final act swiftly, then devolves into a witless muddle, with filmmakers ramping up sudden thrills but not seeding in the problem-solving elements the film needed.

  • Vishwaroop II

That indubitably is Kamal directing the film as a director and not filmmaker. We can see the savvy politician Kamal is doing great onscreen. Wisam, unfortunately, is lost in the back ground.

  • Jannat 2

Logic isn’t a priority here. Deshmukh is creating an old-school Bollywood film with high drama, punchy dialogue, thunderous background music and villains who glare and maim with aplomb.

  • Daawat-e-Ishq

...is the equivalent of an elaborate meal that begins with a mouth-watering appetiser but slowly loses flavour, aroma and deliciousness, so that by the time you reach dessert, you are exhausted, disappointed and badly in need of fresh air.

  • Ki & Ka

...is an important film because it talks about some unconventional and rather tough relationship goals, but it mostly remains a film which is immensely in love with melodrama.

  • TE3N

These three are among the best actors currently working in Hindi cinema. But despite their presence, TE3N doesn’t soar.

  • Beyond The Clouds

Despite excellent symbols and good performances in patches, Beyond The Clouds remains something we have seen and had expected. The uniqueness of the film hardly crosses the crowded bylanes. Majid Majidi’s foreign eyes see what all of them see.
