    The film is funny in specific contexts, but, overall, the interlinked stories pass no real comment on the quality of life in this heterogenous metropolis. The movie drifts along nicely, until you get a little tired, and wish that it all leads to a quick and rousing conclusion.

    ...does have a few funny moments, but its lens is locked at the fixed perspective of the entertainment that can be milked from the classic older man syndrome. In truth it is a movie without a modicum of the intelligence and sensitivity required to treat the subject seriously, and so, maybe, it is a good thing that it didn’t.

    It is not the acting, the content, or the ideology that is wrong with this movie. What jars is the choice of a hackneyed and overused cinematic style that divides characters and conflicts into simplistic demarcations of black and white.
