Do Dooni Chaar
The film is a must see for all those who enjoy dramas about middle-class morality. And of course Rishi Kapoor fans who are spread across generations. The rest may give this a miss...

Robot
...if there is just one Rajni movie you will ever watch, this is it, this is it, this is it.

Khichdi
...too many gags spoilt the broth somewhat, dragging the movie unnecessarily at the end.

Anjaana Anjaani
Frankly, why don't we improvise on the usual before taking on the genre of unusual love stories, what say?

Dabangg
Dabangg continues to belong to Salman, the last standing action hero of our times, who may not know to dance, sing or (if I may daresay) act but sure as hell knows how to pack a punch and entertain the crowd like no one else can ever dream of doing.

Emotional Atyachar : The Film
It tries so visibly hard to be tough, murky, sassy and, most laughably, clever that it's impossible to find any redeeming aspects in its devoted wannabeism.

We Are Family
...falls into the same genre of films such as Ta Ra Rum Pum or Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic which are purportedly about kids but it's the same melodramatic mush being dished out in a new wrapper.

Hello Darling
...needs to be avoided at all costs. Unless of course gnashing your teeth and wasting your money on mindless, tedious comedy is your favourite hobby.

Aashayein
...works like many of Kukunoor's successful films -- Hyderabad Blues, Iqbal and Dor -- unique stories that start with good intentions, but eventually the treatments amount to nothing spectacular.

Lafangey Parindey
...like its attention-grabbing title, is unapologetically superficial with a brief attention span. It doesn't dwell too long on the possible complications or questions that may arise in its protagonist's lives and conveniently wiggles out of/wraps up any uneasy development.

Help
...could have been more convincing and edgy just by doing away with the unnecessary songs.

Peepli [Live]
...well-researched, brilliantly-written and effectively documented creation that hasn't negotiated its wry vision for big screen. I'd go to the extent of saying it's the best Hindi film I've seen this year.

Aisha
Beautifully shot and packaged with a fabulous soundtrack and superlative ensemble cast, Aisha, quite often, gets caught up in a self-created tangle of brand-led vanity to ever let one get acquainted to its leading lady.

Khatta Meetha
...projects itself as a witty satire with reference to someone as reputed as Laxman but its uneven mood shift from ironical to intense augmented by cheesy dialogues like 'Keechad mein baithe suwar ki tarah sust kyon ho?' begs you not to be taken seriously.

Udaan
Being young can be quite rewarding if you are willing to take charge, be responsible. Udaan is an enriching experience in highlighting the same.

Lamhaa
Lamhaa's relevance lies in its ability to give you an overview, even if it's a crammed one, about the ugliness of greed and intolerance through the example of Kashmir. At the same time it's honest and practical enough to end on an unfulfilled, hopeless note.

Red Alert
Red Alert's tragic flaw is the over-simplified resolution of strife that is as old as our nation itself.

I Hate Luv Storys
...it's Imran and Sonam's collective persona and their free-flowing chemistry that makes all the difference. Although the pair deserve better than an amateurishly written romance to scoop out their terrific potential as a combination.

Raavan
...an overwhelming film. At times a tad bit overproduced, the film is an onslaught of brilliant use of technology on the viewer's senses -- stunning cinematography, the fluidity of the camera, quick edits, loud soaring music, with the actors thrown into wild nature.

Kites
...starts off well enough, but loses itself in a mess of superficiality, which would have been just fine if the film wasn't also masquerading as operatic drama.

Bumm Bumm Bole
...is an 'official' adaptation of the award winning Iranian film Children of Heaven. With the screenplay firmly in place and a master director such as Priyadarshan at the helm, one would not be wrong to expect a sweet kiddie film which both entertains and enthralls. Unfortunately that doesn't happen.
