  • 102 Not Out

Based on a Gujarati play of the same name, Umesh Shukla’s film is unable to leave its inherent theatricality behind. It gets unchanging in terms of the give and take between the duo and leaves the viewers static too. It stirs nothing within, leaving you unmoved.

  • Indu Sarkar

If the film is Bhandarkar’s effort to cash in on the nationalist wave of the current times, it surely will bag some brownie points from the current government.

  • Rustom

...there is nothing remotely credible or engaging in the thriller. The film, in fact, feels like a parody of the several murder mysteries and court room dramas we have seen down the ages.

  • Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3

The film is a thriller crafted as a drama, which dilutes its pace and rhythm. Whatever little momentum the thriller aspect of this film creates, is washed out by the lacklustre drama that constantly interjects the narrative.

  • Sarbjit

...the director doesn’t seem to know how to calibrate emotions well. He goes overboard with melodrama, is so overtly manipulative that it leaves the various portrayals seem like cardboard cut-outs than throbbing with real life.

  • Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain

The subject could have been relatable to a wide Indian audience who are bound in an arranged marriage, but Mishra is neither convincingly awkward as a repentant husband nor staunchly belligerent as a patriarchal one.

  • Toilet

If there were any doubts that Akshay Kumar is the poster boy of this regime they can be laid to rest with Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
