  • Housefull 2

It is enjoyable, funny, great looking and 'clean' as compared to another recent buddy film. The stars all act well-even Katrina Kaif. Add to the mix good music and a couple of graceful dances and the package all bright and shiny tied with a red ribbon. You want more out of movies? Are you nuts?

What Abhishek Chaubey has done with Udta Punjab is broken the image of Punjab that Bollywood has so carefully built, as a state of happy-go-lucky, bhangra-dancing, family-loving people.

The kiddie audience the film is aimed at, has seen so much better on TV and big screen, that Toonpur is bound to evoke yawns. It is so lacking in pace and humour that the really little ones might just doze off.

  • Thank You

It is not in the least bit funny. No Entry, Masti and Shaadi No 1, were not either, but they were not as offensive as this one. The lines are cringe-worthy, the performances mechanical.

...there is admiration for the way the kids communicate their generosity as well as their mischief without irritating filmi precocity. Children will probably relate to the film whole-heartedly.

It's the kind of film that is enjoyable because it is predictable. You know Singham will destroy all evil, justice will be done, and at least for a few hours, all will be well with the world.

Deshpande's narration is meandering and perhaps deliberately random, without any discernible beginning, middle or end-a life-goes-on cycle... just touched by stardust.

...a boring, disappointing film, saved only by the rigour Ranbir Kapoor brings on - he is let down by the film's lack of depth, originality and artistic vision.

Admittedly, the film is not meant for those looking for sensible cinema, but for those who go to the cinema just get some 'timepass'.

Urban angst and the ever-changing rules of the battle of the sexes could make for a much better film, but seen without any expectations, this one does deliver a few solid punches.
