  • Bangistan

Is Bangistan a comedy? I wish it was! I was hoping it was. I read it was. Did the director even realize that he shifted focus and was just meandering through in the first half? I hope so.

  • Masaan

Towering performances for a towering script! Masaan is all this and much more. Masaan provokes you, makes you think, and takes you on life's journey.

  • I Love NY

I loved I Love NY. You may too. Give it a try. This is Sunny Paaji at his vintage best. Kangana, ofcourse is now in a league of her own.

  • Uvaa

If only director Jasbir Bhatti had dwelt on the subject rather than concentrating on silly school scenes and even sillier teachers, we would have had a hard-hitting film on our hands.

  • Dil Dhadakne Do

Every character on board has his or her life entwined with the other and the manner in which the plot moves forward on the high seas is stuff of which good films are made of.

  • Ishqedarriyaan

If there was a little urgency in getting into the heart of the matter, Ishqedarriyaan could have been different. Director V V Sharma goes round and round and thus loses the plot.

  • Tanu Weds Manu Returns

Kudos to the director for helming such a close-to-reality situation with dollops of humour and charting the course of each and every character with a passion that goes beyond the art of good film-making.

  • Bombay Velvet

If you want to watch Bombay in its pristine glory of the past, Bombay Velvet is a must watch. However, if content is what you are looking for, stay away!

  • Sabki Bajegi Band

Anirudh Chawla has a very novel thought about hypocrisy in society but the manner in which he tries to send across his message is not so novel, and is also 'over-the-top preachy'.

  • Mr. X

Bhatt movies have that same signature tune and similar story-lines (non-existent). Mr. X is no different. He too is non-existent.

  • Ek Paheli Leela

The film is shot on a grand scale but the connecting links to the past 300 years are not that convincing. The story could have been better entwined leaving the viewer in a state of suspense.

  • Hunterrr

...thanks to Gulshan Devaiah and his engrossing, entertaining, energetic, illuminating act as the sex-starved Mandar Ponkshe, Hunterrr becomes a prized catch.

  • Dozakh

...smartly treads the fine line between the intolerance of religion. The turmoil the child goes through and the stark truth his staunch Muslim father is made to face at a crucial juncture is what elevates this film to a commendable level.
