  • Kapoor & Sons

Director / writer Shakun Batra's and his co-writer Ayesha Deveitre Dhillon are the true heroes of this film. Their story, their dialogue and the situations they've created add great depth to the movie.

  • Joker

This isn’t a movie you recommend in film schools. This is a parody you watch to test your sense of humour.

  • John Day

...a half-baked effort with sporadic moments of brilliance and leaves you with an aftertaste of what could have been.

  • Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai

The only reason someone could sit through this movie is for the pretty visuals and the somewhat average performances of the cast. But even that will require insane levels of patience.

  • Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai

...the sheer indulgence with which Milap Zaveri turns what could have been a simple love story into a barrage of caricatures hamming all the way is disappointing. The film has very few moments that impress.

  • Ittefaq

...is a solid modern whodunit. It looks as slick as any Hollywood production. Even with its mistakes, the crime mystery manages to impress with its logical and clinical writing.

  • Island City

You need to have an appetite for Isaac Asimov kind of sci-fi coupled with a taste for fine cinema. Else you’ll find yourself a little lost in the detailed and very dystopian world of this film.

  • Isi Life Mein

Conflict of any kind; emotional, romantic or even fundamental is absent completely. There's so much of pristine goodness that it becomes unreal, almost surreal.

  • Ishkq In Paris

Writers Prem Raj and Preity Zinta have watched too much of the Before Sunrise, Before Sunset films. But have failed to realise that the concept doesn’t work that well with Indian characters and sensibilities.

  • Irada

For a film that had a subject as relevant as that of Udta Punjab, this movie turns out to be a major let down.

  • Inkaar

...good performances can give you a watchable film, but not a believable story. And that is the big letdown in Inkaar. The film’s logic and the climax just don’t make sense.

  • Indu Sarkar

...is no satire or subliminal piece on the history of Indian politics. It takes too many cinematic liberties, but thankfully its focus on the strong female lead lends it credibility and keeps the jingoism curbed.

  • Humshakals

Juvenile humour and racist remarks aside (which Humshakals has plentiful) this film assumes watching mentally unstable people and their loony behavior is entertainment.

  • Hum Tum Aur Ghost

Sure there is a twist ending, but we wonder if it could’ve been a bit more intelligent and little less like the clichéd seventies’ ‘lost and found’ theme.

  • Holiday

It makes the best of its neat content, uses Akshay Kumar’s superlative parkour and martial arts skills and entertains you in three stylish and engrossing hours.
