  • Action Jackson

It’s as if director Prabhudheva wanted to make two distinct movies with the same cast. When he couldn’t make up which genre to go with he put the two together to make an ambiguous mix-genre movie that’s too inconsistent to garner any appreciation.

  • Rang Rasiya

It’s got the right hues and shades. It’s got the impeccable references. But even so, it needed that little bit of panache, which Ketan Mehta misses out on.

  • Happy New Year

End of the day, it all boils down to how you watch your film. If you like to have fun and you don’t mind entertainment over cerebral arguments, Farah Khan’s Happy New Year is worth your time.

  • Bang Bang!

Not that Bang Bang! isn’t well-made. Its technical craft is top notch. The cinematography, the action choreography and even production values are all Hollywood level. But the direction is near abysmal.

  • Haider

...doesn’t have an ounce of the commercial thrills and spills that entertain the 100-crore masses. But it does have an undeniable dramatic punch. It is one of the best stories you’ll every watch on celluloid.

  • Daawat-e-Ishq

This could've been a real seven-course fiesta but the misguided vision and thanda drama reduce this feature film to side dish status.

  • Hate Story 2

By the end, Hate Story 2 becomes so random you can hardly make sense of it. Yes art can be ambiguous. But when it’s stupid, it’s not art at all.

  • Bobby Jasoos

End of the day, Bobby Jasoos is fun-filled entertainment. It suffers a bit with shoddy execution and writing. But it’s nothing an expert like Vidya can’t handle.

  • Humshakals

Juvenile humour and racist remarks aside (which Humshakals has plentiful) this film assumes watching mentally unstable people and their loony behavior is entertainment.

  • Holiday

It makes the best of its neat content, uses Akshay Kumar’s superlative parkour and martial arts skills and entertains you in three stylish and engrossing hours.

  • Kochadaiiyaan

...doesn't quite make the world class cut that it aspires for. But it does become one of the most engaging and detailed animated films to come out of our country.
