  • Always Kabhi Kabhi

The first half is dull as can be, merely loud, and while the emotionally-laden second half begins to mildly resemble something sweet, it explodes into a flashy climax that ruins everything.

  • Ek Villain

Why, again, is this a remake? Why would these filmmakers steal from a film and yet leave out the good parts, the bits that made those films great? And why do we do it over and over again?

  • Pihu

The idea — of anything in a house being a potential threat — could have been made into a watchable short film, but this is feature-length torture, where the viewer is made aware that they must sit through more than ninety minutes of a helpless and endangered child, despite knowing that nothing can really happen to her before the end.

  • Padmaavat

The problem lies not in Padmaavat being a costume drama, but in the fact that there is too much costume, too little drama.

  • One By Two

Abhay Deol shoots himself in the foot by acting in (and, inexplicably, producing) this monstrosity that sucks all the goodwill out of an actor we usually like, and his apparent girlfriend Preeti Desai hands in the kind of atrocious performance that makes vintage Katrina look like Juhi Chawla.

  • Blank

...this could have been pulpy fun and there is some promise. The hand-to-hand combat sequences are shot grungily, with extreme close-ups, but while Blank wants to be a heavy metal movie, it is basically a kid with a noisy amp.

  • Raajneeti

...a hyperactive drama given to much yelling and little thought. The screenplay is weak, manipulative and every possible kind of lazy...

  • Shaandaar

It’s an old-school Disney-esque film but sadly without the wit and -- as is more critical when it comes to candy manufacture -- the consistency.

  • Ki & Ka

...wants to be important, it wants to be revolutionary, it wants to be a feminist statement of equality. Admirable, sure. But it doesn't know how.

  • Mohenjo Daro

Historical accuracy be darned, Gowariker has served up a severely amateurish production with a weak script and an abundance of cliche.

  • O Teri

...borrows constantly from Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and drowns it all in slapstick so noisy it all comes off as more lame than loving, more blasphemous than beholden.

  • Singham

All I can personally say about this trend of remaking one-note Southern hits as a viewer is that it's an exhausting one.

  • Golmaal 3

I wasn't looking for sensitivity or smarts in Golmaal 3. All I wanted were a few good jokes. The film doesn't oblige.

  • Not A Love Story

All Ramu seems to be saying is 'look at me,' and we've seen most of that before. This is a film made in bad taste, and -- with apologies to Mr Capote -- in old blood.
