  • Rann

What ultimately comes in the way of Rann achieving the potential of its premise is the over-use of cliche in the absence of original writing.

  • Luv Ka The End

Like its very protagonists, this is a vapid, vacuous film that seems intended for similarly shallow youngsters who're still amused by such tired comic devices as itching powder and laxatives.

  • Happy Ending

This is a film that wants to be many things all at once - a rom-com between a fading star and the next big thing, also a clever satire on Bollywood.

  • Guddu Rangeela

...has flashes of the originality we saw in Kapoor's earlier films Jolly LLB and particularly Phas Gaye Re Obama. But it's weighed down by a lousy script that squanders all potential.

  • Jagga Jasoos

...is never more than the sum of its parts. The film’s heart – the moving father-son dynamic – is buried somewhere under all the manic Tintin-like adventure and the sensory overload it triggers.

  • Pihu

It’s neither a compelling cautionary tale about bad parenting or a sufficiently responsible thriller. The film revels in making you flinch and squirm and cringe. That’s just mean-spirited.

  • Phoonk 2

...is what you'd describe as Ramgopal Varma-lite. The thrills and scares are few and far between. They could have made this film in their sleep. Who knows, they probably did!

  • ABCD - Any Body Can Dance

Like the "Step Up" movies from which it's evidently inspired, "ABCD" has a threadbare, predictable plot, and a cast of professional dancers who can break into gravity-defying moves but can't deliver a line of dialogue convincingly.

  • Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami

Buried beneath the farcical humor, melodramatic performances and manipulative tear-jerking in Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami is a well-intentioned message movie about the value of honesty.

  • Noor

Although handsomely mounted and evocatively shot, Noor lacks a sense of genuine urgency. The protagonist’s journey from flaky to fully reformed is never convincing...

  • Guzaarish

...an unsatisfying effort because the filmmaker continues to invest more in the appearance of every frame than in the emotional truth of his characters.

  • Haunted

You'll be laughing hard for hours after you've watched this film. Not what you expect from horror, is it?

  • OMG Oh My God!

...in a sea of dumb Bollywood comedies (many starring Akshay Kumar himself), this one at least starts off a debate. For that alone, it’s not entirely a write-off.

  • Ungli

...the film is so steeped in naiveté and trades in such simplistic solutions, it's as if you're listening to a Class V moral science lesson.

  • Shivaay

...is basically Taken with a big helping of melodrama, and a lot of talking. A LOT of talking. Way too much talking.

  • Apartment

The film doesn't work from the moment go because the script's amateurish and Mundhra's direction decidedly pedestrian.

  • Knock Out

I can't decide what's worse - that they plagiarized a film entirely, or that they couldn't even make a good film despite that!

  • Rajjo

It takes giant reserves of patience to survive a film as bizarre as Rajjo. Watching this movie, you have to wonder what exactly might have tempted an actress of Kangana Ranaut's caliber to commit to it.

  • Shaapit

Horror films are meant to get your heart racing pumping. At the end of this film, you'll have to check for your pulse.
