  • Dum Laga Ke Haisha

...sucks you into its world with well-etched characters, beautiful cinematography, perfectly detailed production design, and a host of fine actors...

  • Dulha Mil Gaya

...well-worn, formulaic fare that might appeal to viewers who find comfort in the familiar, and who are still excited by those hackneyed stories about righteous Indian girls who show materialistic NRI boys the error of their ways.

  • Drishyam

When was the last time you enjoyed a film for its gripping plot, its compelling story? Drishyam, with its refreshingly original screenplay and its many moments of tension, is just that.

  • Don 2

...is nicely shot, and there are moments where Shah Rukh Khan is riveting. But that's not enough to hold your interest for well over two hours...even the actor's most loyal fans will find themselves yawning.

  • Dishoom

You won’t remember Dishoom for its plot or for its performances. It’s like junk food that’s meant to be savored in the moment, but cannot be counted on for nutrition.

  • Dhanak

It’s a crowd-pleaser that drives the point home about seeing with your heart instead of your eyes. Shrewd message for a film that’s not perfect, but is all heart.

  • Dhadak

...is ultimately a homogenous Karan Johar production that offers comfort in the familiar...for those seeking it. For the rest of us, it’s just baffling why the folks involved would choose to remake a film about the horrors of caste supremacy, but erase practically every mention of caste from the film.

  • Delhi Belly

Uninhibited and naughty, 'Delhi Belly' is an enjoyable comedy that has enough frenzied moments to keep you in your seats.

  • Dedh Ishqiya

Gorgeously shot, crisply edited, and handsomely mounted, large portions of the film are evocative of a nawabi culture and lifestyle alas seldom seen in the movies now.

  • Dear Zindagi

Gauri’s previous film, her directing debut English Vinglish, felt authentic and was powered by emotions that were real and relatable. The problem with Dear Zindagi is that so much of it – particularly the first half – feels superficial and even contrived.

  • Dear Dad

...is a well-intentioned film that wants to make some crucial points. But it's weighed down by clunky writing, and a tendency on the part of the filmmakers to try too hard where subtlety might have worked better.

  • De De Pyaar De

...watching De De Pyaar De is a frustrating experience because while there are things to admire, including the unconventional ending, there is no escape from the lazy stereotypes, the simplistic moralizing, and the episodic, sitcom-style screenplay.

  • Dangerous Ishhq

Ambitious but seriously flawed, the film smacks of laziness in virtually all departments, and even Karisma Kapoor's earnest performance can't save the day.

  • Dangal

...it’s a solid and satisfying watch, a well crafted look at what went into the creation of two sporting champions. It’s a film that makes the heart swell… when it isn’t pounding from all the excitement of the bouts.

  • Damadamm

What could've been a sweet, simple love story turns into a confused film that never justifies its spirited title.
