...convoluted and over-plotted, as a whole. Sanjay Gupta’s ability to create menace and a sinister sense of place is overwhelmed by the film’s need to showcase the lead actor.

  • Revolver Rani

...the Rani in ‘Queen’ won our hearts because she was believable every inch of the way. This Rani, who hefts revolvers and shoots to kill, is neither wholly a cartoon figure, nor completely credible.

To find an actor who resembles the real-life character he has to play is a stroke of pure luck. Trouble is, in its zeal to put together novel locations and exotic hot spots, ‘Jagga Jasoos’ forgets to give us a story. The good-looking leads are left to fend for themselves in a sinking plot. What we get, with the exception of a few smiley moments, is a long, dull meander.

  • I Am Singh

This could have been a perfectly acceptable film, presumably meant to release around the tenth anniversary of 9/11. In Puneet Issar's hands, it becomes a series of unintentionally hilarious scenes.
