  • Darr @The Mall

...if you’re in the mood for a decent horror flick that has an equal number of spooky and dry moments, you won’t mind this one.

  • Kick

...what you get is an archetypal Salman film with the regular cliches, and a few moments of, err, kick.

  • Holiday

The lead actors do well in their parts, and their pairing will possibly be a draw. But with such weak characterization and soppy romance, even their electric onscreen chemistry is diluted.

  • Bandook

This small film with an easy-to-forget title needed more aggressive and focused marketing to get noticed. Still, do sample it if you enjoy crime dramas in an authentic rustic setting.

  • Bubble Gum

...its simple, no-frills storytelling is refreshing, surrounded as we are by technically overwhelming and highly dramatic films with too much to say. Some could find the film refreshingly minimalist; but many will find it too sparse.

  • B.A. Pass

It’s not as dark and dangerous as you’d expect film noir to be. Still, you might want to check it out for the few grappling moments and the performances.

  • Baby

The film is full of improbable developments, convenient cinematic license and absurd portions. The only redeeming features are the ensemble cast, a few engaging action portions and a fast-paced second half.

If you love Great Expectations, keep no expectations from this one. Else, be prepared to entranced by the visual splendor of the movie, and be disappointed by the lack of emotional connect.

  • Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?

The central flaw with the film is its failure to evoke sympathy for the central characters. Having suffered unbearable guests themselves, most viewers will find Chachaji’s antics harmless; even amusing.

  • Mirch

...a reasonably fun film about infidelity that's neither chauvinist nor feminist, or perhaps both!

  • Jodi Breakers

The story is told with the zest it deserves and is enhanced by the sparkling dialogue. Sadly, the director has a messed-up second half on his hands. Still, worth your while for the unusual story, interesting coupling, and the irreverent humour.

  • Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

...a film cracking under its own weight. If only Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra had ditched the self-serious tone and let the film breathe a bit.

  • Bang Bang!

If you've seen Knight and Day (Bang Bang! is an official remake), better steer clear. Otherwise, the film might be tolerable, even entertaining in parts.

  • Azhar

There is an attempt to showcase the grey shades of the central character, but the film majorly cops-out in the end.

  • We Are Family

...old wine in a new, expensive bottle. It's evident in the characterisation, the dated dialogue, and the choice of the heavy-duty background score where you hear a woman's alaap for the most part; a mainstay in our saas-bahu soaps.
