  • Khandaani Shafakhana

Khandaani Shafakhana’s aspiration to bring sex out in the open through its protagonist Baby Bedi’s efforts at running a sex clinic in a prudish small town is all very noble. But director Shilpi Dasgupta’s flimsy storytelling and comic timing of a subject, in the same space as Vicky Donor and Shubh Mangal Savdhan, neither enlightens nor entertains.

  • Kesari

21 Sikh soldiers against 10,000 Afghan tribesman -- it's a staggering statistic and splendid premise for a full-bloodied action film.

A feat Kesari not only honours but delivers too if only you'll be patient.

  • Kedarnath

The heft and conviction of a sparkling Sara and subdued Sushant as well as its solid supporting cast make Kedarnath's stereotypes and contrivances a whole lot agreeable.

  • Karwaan

After all that running around, the life lessons it ultimately imparts only show the makers's inability by resorting to the same old soppy idea of closure it so desperately seeks to break away from.

  • Karthik Calling Karthik

Films like Karthik Calling Karthik are all about winding up right. This one fails to make a connect. Pity, it could have been that all important call you've always been waiting for.

  • Kalank

...is stuck in a bizarre time warp of real world and surreal treatment. What ensues is not particularly poignant, but breathtaking to behold.

  • Kai Po Che!

I wouldn’t call Kai Po Che an exact retelling of Chetan Bhagat [ Images ]’s The 3 Mistakes of My Life. Kapoor clearly recognises the strengths (and limitations) of this story as a motion picture and labours to compound an emotionality worth rooting for even if it means significant departure from the source. It’s a beautiful risk. And it totally works.

  • Kabir Singh

From treating women like toys, trampling all over their feelings and then acting like a wounded martyr and misunderstood genius wronged by the world, Kabir Singh rounds up every foolish male's ultimate fantasy. Lack of rules can be refreshing, but to watch a sicko getting away after ticking every wrong in the book just rankles.

  • Kaanchi

From effortlessly epic to unintentionally campy, Ghai’s school of entertainment has taken quite a beating.

  • Kaabil

...doesn't pull off anything extraordinary with its visually challenged contrivance except whip up as many puns possible. From blind date to blind justice, it's all there.

  • Judwaa 2

Judwaa 2’s balloon of recycled gas soon goes phus and what’s left is tedious buffoonery of the brainless, for the brainless and by the brainless.

  • Judgemental Hai Kya

...is an expedition into the unhinged, unstable, unreliable mind of a woman single-handedly refusing to be dictated by patriarchy. It's also a provocative commentary on society's tendency to label individuals refusing to subscribe to its established norms and decorum.

  • Jolly LLB 2

The story is more or less the same except around sharper wit seasoned in authentic local flavours that scorns at the intense rot eating up a noble profession without whitewashing the rascality of its titular character.

  • Jism - 2

It's like Sunny Leone's assets are the script, screenplay and sole purpose of Jism 2 and everyone outside that -- Hooda, Singh, Zakaria or the audience -- is obliged to wag their tongues with thrill. Well, duh, for thinking otherwise.

  • Jagga Jasoos

...isn't a particularly bright caper. It's about seeking nirmal anand whose playful ingenuity is held together by a bag of unending tricks that lend the trip wind in its wings and cheer in its will.

  • Jab Tak Hai Jaan

...is nothing more than lovely fluff that could have been shorter, snappier but is definitely worth watching once for the man whose name appears against the bright blue sky – Mr Yash Chopra.

  • Jab Harry Met Sejal

In essence, Jab Harry Met Sejal's titular characters wander aimlessly from one place to another from inside a bubble, holding on to a dream that's playful yet unreal, surprising but hollow. Had Imtiaz treated it like one and not surrendered to predictable fantasy, I'd still admire his audacity.
