    We learn from Amavas that a Gothic mansion, jump cuts galore and red herrings aplenty thrown into the mix sadly don’t translate into a horror film.

    Tigmanshu shouldn’t try to copy Prabhudeva but make straight-from-the-heart films that he’s famous for. We missed the comic punches and the black humour of his earlier efforts. He doesn’t deserve this and neither do we.

    It’s as if director Prabhudheva wanted to make two distinct movies with the same cast. When he couldn’t make up which genre to go with he put the two together to make an ambiguous mix-genre movie that’s too inconsistent to garner any appreciation.

    The only reason someone could sit through this movie is for the pretty visuals and the somewhat average performances of the cast. But even that will require insane levels of patience.

    Priyadarshan should stick to making comedies; action is definitely not his forte. If you don’t believe me, watch Tezz at your own risk.
