  • Pyaar Ka Punchnama

The screenplay, an excellent effort at genuine Indian dick-lit writing, still rings true, in several parts. The solid material isn't however contained enough to make for a tight film.

  • Shagird

The script may still have seemed quite striking on paper to some. The filmmaker's just never sure when he's diving deep into realism, and when he's completely frikin' stretchin' it.

  • Haunted

This is "India's first stereoscopic 3D film", ideally made for audiences that in business lingo are called 'B' and 'C' centres. Haunted evidently wants to be the Wanted for the same crowd.

  • Luv Ka The End

This is just an XL sheet movie from a supposed docket that defines youth as some condescending, amorphous term from marketing alone. The filmmakers are desperately trying to look in from the distant outside.

  • Tanu Weds Manu

...it’s still not the rom-com you saw last weekend, and certainly not the one you’ve been watching for years. The difference? It’s still more real, and the nuances bear an inspired writer’s imagination.

  • Utt Pataang

You’d imagine someone read this script and thought the supposed page-turner would make for another low-budget comic hit. They didn’t bother to apply any cinema at all.
