Interesting premise, but then that’s about it. From the first scene onwards, the story, direction and dialogues go on a downward spiral. Thirty minutes into the film, and you start thinking of all that you could have done with those precious two hours.

  • All Is Well

This movie starts going consistently downhill from the first scene itself that you start wondering if the makers and the actors themselves gave up on making any sense, even while they were in the process of making it.

  • Indu Sarkar

While high on obvious propaganda, low on aesthetics, where Bhandarkar does well is to show the deep disdain the Indian state has for activists, its excessive censorship, the complete lack of an opposition in politics, and a relentless public campaign through events to suggest all's well, when it’s really not.

  • Aazaan

Throughout the movie, Azaan is continuously told that he has Allah ka haath over him. If it fetches him a decent opening at the box-office, we will believe it.

  • Jhootha Kahin Ka

Replete with inane humour, the movie barely inspires a chuckle. Apparently, an assortment of stereotypical characters, a dash of one-liners and songs thrown in at regular intervals is enough to make a film today.

  • Issaq

It is one thing to set out to make a gritty film in Banaras, but it is another thing to have enough discipline and a great script to pull it off.
