  • Gang of Ghosts

I wouldn't go as far as declaring this imitation to be the best form of flattery, but Gang Of Ghosts does arouse enough curiosity to make you want to watch the real deal. Excuse me while I procure a DVD.

  • Lakshmi

It makes you cringe for important reasons though, and must be watched for its relentless pursuit of relevance and authenticity.

  • Bewakoofiyaan

This is the kind of middling film that one doesn't know what to make of. It looks clean, simple and doesn't boast of any highs or lows. Everything, including the change of heart(s), is predictable.

  • Total Siyapaa

...definitely lives up to its title, but not in a good way. This is a bad kind of chaos-the sort Joker creates in Gotham-despite a cast oozing with potential.

  • Darr @The Mall

Within the confines of this stumbling genre, director Kirpalani does a decent job with a predictable script. There is only so much originality left to operate with; even the ghosts have begun to look alike.

...leaving you mildly enraged with the hope of what could have been, especially given the inexhaustible resources at hand.

  • Ya Rab

What is the lesser evil - A dishonest film made with technical fluency, or a socially relevant film with schoolboy technique?

  • Babloo Happy Hai

The utter randomness of the title- considering the crux revolves around a bunch of randy youngsters being educated about HIV in the holy hills of Manali- is the least of its problems.

  • Jai Ho

Shrewdly combining the mood-of-the-nation-capturing strengths of Raju Hirani with the fairytale nonsensical brutality of, well, brother's previous efforts, Sohail Khan has churned out an idealistic no holds barred allegedly patriotic drama that clocks 'mental' on a scale of 1-to-Gadar.

  • Dedh Ishqiya

Abhishek Chaubey's direction is sure footed and - like he did with the first film - he pays attention craft, striving for an uncompromised end product. He succeeds by and large.

  • Mahabharat

...it's not easy to make animated films and - unlike live-action movies where magic maybe created in a moment on set - it requires toil and an imaginative force that must sustain for months and years. And in Mahabharat this endeavour shows, earning it an extra half star. But where are the new ideas?

  • Jackpot

Con artists, rainy Goa, casinos, a porn star - Gustad had the nut game but his approach is cavalier. The narrative - aspiring to be sharp and stylish - ends up lackluster and disjointed with not a single moment of high energy.

  • What The Fish

What the Fish's wacky brand of humor works half the time but confounds in equal measure. It touches no chords and remains consciously superficial but it does have an ensemble that has clicked in a story oddly fresh in these times.

  • R... Rajkumar

As a businessman, Prabhu Dheva has mastered the formula. But how long will the audience want to watch the same content - the same old fight and dance - repackaged over and over with different actors? Ask yourself.

  • Bullett Raja

Here's hoping Tigmanshu Dhulia ditches this spurious chase and returns to form with his brand of movies - forged from truth and insight; straight from the heart - that we've come to love.

  • Rajjo

...is told with frantic cutting with little or no stay in scenes that demanded a lot more. It skims across themes: coming-of-age, social message, fictional biopic of the fall and rise and dwells on none.

  • Ram-leela

...can we reward a film for the way it looks, superlative acting, and a director who knows exactly what he's doing despite the indulgence in the writing department that stretches the story to a point until it nearly snaps? Why not.
