I don't know about bravery and courage, but I recognize the attempt in making an epic entertainer and I see partial success. Unfortunately, only partial. And yet, Salmaniacs can rejoice!

  • Utt Pataang

...a 100-minute film with a reasonably interesting story, a fantastic flow in the screenplay, and decent performances seems slow and boring...

Slick war action could make it worth a watch. But be warned, the forced and never-ending emotional drama is a bit much and the propaganda is inescapable.

So, I am supposed to find people laughing at perceived body flaws funny? Thank goodness for some great supporting cast, and decent lead cast performances.

  • Ugly

The repulsion you feel towards Ugly is what makes it a good film. A thriller that makes you uncomfortable from within.

  • Tumhari Sulu

Strong characters with even stronger performances let down by an awfully ‘meh’ climax. And such a bummer that most of the ‘fun’ moments made it to the trailer.

  • Tumbbad

A meaty story and a gory film which deviates from the typical possessed body horror storyline. Chills the spine as a horror film about supernatural phenomenon should even though I am not convinced horror films should be made at all.

  • Tu Hai Mera Sunday

A cute comment on everyday, urban life. Becomes a little 'out there', every once in a while. But so does everyday life, right? While the philosophising is a tad lame, the romantic bits are adorable.

  • Tribhanga

So, so many difficult issues dealt with a light, matter-of-factly hand. Lots of ground covered in a breezy 90 minutes without being rushed. An engaging watch from start to finish.

  • Toonpur Ka Superrhero

Even if it might be the best animation film to come out of Mumbai, it is not good enough. There's an attempt to cram everything seen in films from Hollywood in one film, whether or not there's room for the concept. Yet, it might not be a bad entertainer for kids with some caramel popcorn handy.

  • Toilet

Brings up many important issues related not just to religion, culture or even sanitation. It points a huge finger at sexism and the politics of both home and nation. But, is extremely preachy through most of it.

  • Toh Baat Pakki

A wannabe-Hrishikesh Mukherjee film. It’s one of those simple one-line plots that if told well could be both entertaining and insightful. But, this is neither, mainly because its loud and tries too hard to keep it light.

  • Titli

Noir taken to such a grim level that you disconnect after a bit and begin to look at it as someone narrating a gruesome story.

  • Thugs Of Hindostan

It’s relevance to today’s times is striking. Interestingly, Thugs of Hindostan includes enough of the trappings to make you cringe and yet manages to keep you entertained.

  • The Zoya Factor

Attempts to keep things light, which work at times and don’t at others. A film that wouldn’t kill you if you watched it, but one you wouldn’t miss if you didn’t.
