  • Shor In The City

...is well-shot and has good performances. It also has a few well-developed, interesting characters. Yet, the plot gives a very "been there, seen that" feel.

  • Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi

A frustrating watch. A disgusting experience. Not just because of the toilet humor. But more, because you just can't get over the "How could SUCH an awful film be made?" feeling even after an hour of having watched the film.

  • Shikara

An ineffective summary of the tragedies that people might have suffered in real life. And yet makes you wonder, if this is a summary, how horrifying might the details have been.

  • Shanghai

Visually appealing because of raw, rugged ambience and characters, Shanghai ultimately ends up being yet another political drama that chooses the quick-fix, short-cut.

  • Shamitabh

A tribute to a baritone, Shamitabh serves well for the voice's fans. Unfortunately, stretches imagination and its length a tad much making it repetitive and tiring.

  • Shaitan

If it weren't for the brilliant performances, Shaitan would look like it's Director, Bejoy nambiar and producer, Anurag Kashyap's urge to sew plainly written scenes with quirky treatments.

  • Shabri

Even if you are looking forward to a story about a woman gangster, I'd say this isn't something worth getting too excited about.

  • Shaandaar

...is the Anees Bazmee-fication of Dharma-ised version of the Phantom-isation of Vikas Bahl's Disney tale. Oh dear, how do I fit Barjatya in that sentence now?

  • Section 375

Well-made? Sure. Good performances? Absolutely. Well-written? Crisp. Did I like it? No. But then, shouldn’t a movie be made on men’s rights? Oh absolutely. And a round of slow-clap for that.

  • Satyameva Jayate

Heavy dialogue-heavy film. But you knew that from the trailer. Ordinary fight sequences make the film quite the regular action fare. The story isn’t as engaging as the premise might seem.

  • Sanju

An engaging 2.5+ hours with a film that might as well have been titled Sanju ke baba or anti-medianama. Enjoyed it better by not thinking of him as Sanjay Dutt but more as a shameless, callous, blame-shifter manbaby.

  • Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande

Parvin Dabas directs himself well. And he gets a few scenes right, but other than that his debut as a director Sahi Dhande Galat Bande doesn't engage as a film with a social message ought to.
