  • Desi Boyz

It's reasonably paced; doesn't assume the audience to have the IQ of a goat;despite objectifying women, is not entirely regressive; does justice to it production value and has even got a scene or two that will make you laugh outloud.

  • Rockstar

If you need one reason to watch Rockstar, RK it is. With his role, Ranbir Kapoor firmly establishes himself as one of Hindi cinema's finest. Ever.

  • Loot

...corrupted beyond recognition by some pedestrian writing entirely dependent on puns, the absolute absence of logic, and some lethargic acting.

  • Damadamm

There is sensitivity and earnestness in the writing that the actors - specifically both women - are able to translate into something identifiable.

  • Ra.One

It is a muesli-like muddle of every popular superhero movie you've seen. Contextualising (to Bollywood) rather than being original is what the makers are attempting here.

  • Aazaan

If only a more generous fraction of these tens of crores was spent on hiring writing talent and a little more time spent with the actors, we might've had a half-decent action film.

  • Jo Dooba So Paar

Undoubtedly, there is intention and heart in the making, but JDSP only shines in spurts and despite its shortness, is unable to hold one's attention for the duration.

  • Mod

It should've stayed in the realm of a love story and resisted temptation to merge into thriller territory. Ultimately the film suffers for it.

  • Soundtrack

I'd have been happy to rate this movie higher had it been entirely original. Even so, the choice of film to remake is commendable simply because it is not your usual cup of tea.

  • Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster

...not necessarily a film for everyone. Neither will it blow you away in any way. Still, it is one more inclusion in the list of audience-specific new-age genre films and deserves your attention.

  • Force

...you're pleasantly surprised to find Kamat handling the genre like he would a serious drama, injecting much needed slickness and restraining from going fantasy-levels over the top.

  • Mausam

While there is little doubt that Mausam is an honest effort to make a beautiful, even epic film, it is way off the mark, missing layers, and struggles to stay afloat.

  • Shabri

Shabri is quite poignant with scenes oscillating between wordless calm and brutal action: aesthetic and accessible at the same time, even though this is often at the cost of pace.
