  • Ragini MMS

Surely the film will have an audience among those young enough to be scared by the chills and desperate enough to find the sex titillating. But I guess I just wasn't scared enough.

...so we get Mani Ratnam's politics. What we don't get is his art. This is perhaps his most beautiful film--and that's saying a lot for someone who makes such an effort to frame his scenes. But it is also one of his weakest central characterisations.

This is film-making not so much as noble passion but as grand indulgence, not so much as a marathon magic show but as an event to be managed. No effort is spared.

Bollywood has realized it can camouflage its lack of stories with lots of thrills, chases, heists making the location exotic and the villains international even if it has to finally buy the remake rights legally.

  • Luv Ka The End

Between a boy whose pout is better than the girl's and a girl who tries hard to be Dirty Harry, this is a movie that is to be avoided. At. All. Costs.

...the film is gripping, and while it may be trying too hard to be true to every complex reality of Kashmir, its heart is big. And more importantly in the right place.

Watching both Deepika and Neil Nitin trying to get under the skin of their tough-as-nails characters is like watching two beautiful babies trying to put on Rambo acts. Cute but not enough.

  • Kurbaan

My problem with Kurbaan is not just that it covers ground similar to New York... My problem is also not just that it makes terrorism look ridiculously simple... My problem is movies that have decided to make a market of this. There's a formula at work here.
