    ...a fair watch for people who have not seen Thuppakki. For ones who have watched the Tamil film, this Hindi remake would not excite one bit.

    ...a directorial winner. While it entertains, it also springs forth another director worth looking out to. It is a film which gets you to root for the protagonist. And you know you have winner when a film makes you feel such.

    is a case well presented. There is an attempt to draw a safe line hence as the director tries not going against the code of law as he presents the case. It is a delight to watch for the superb performances.

    The first half is still passable but the second half loses way completely. The screenplay could have done better with use of some logic.

    It is a film for you, if you are pleased to have a random song pushed into the story every 10 minutes so that the heroine can give can dance a bit in scanty clothes. Story be damned.

    ...is its very original and rooted in Indian countryside storyline. And as the story flows the director manages to bring to life so many aspects of rural life that it makes Daayan Ya Baayen very real and entertaining.

    Its effort is to bring up the evil called Dowry into focus and evoke some thought around it. A rather wasted effort. Having said that, Daawat is fairly entertaining.
