  • Judwaa 2

Everything about Judwaa 2 – from the treatment to the one-liners – has a distinctly outdated feel to it. But it’s also true that some of the gags work.

  • Fanney Khan

...squanders so much potential, it practically breaks your heart. Only Anil Kapoor succeeds in leaving his stamp all over the film, making your heart go out to this 'selfless' man on a mission.

  • Dulha Mil Gaya

...well-worn, formulaic fare that might appeal to viewers who find comfort in the familiar, and who are still excited by those hackneyed stories about righteous Indian girls who show materialistic NRI boys the error of their ways.

  • Dum Maaro Dum

...is a heady cocktail of crime, deceit, love, sex and drama. And yet, somehow, it fails to come together as the slick action thriller that it set out to be.

  • Road, Movie

Unpredictable and occasionally charming, Road, Movie has its moments. But in the end it feels too long, a tad boring, and pretentious even.

  • Holiday

Akshay Kumar livens up the proceedings now and then, but a lot of it is just thookpatti in this Thuppaki remake.

  • Dear Dad

...is a well-intentioned film that wants to make some crucial points. But it's weighed down by clunky writing, and a tendency on the part of the filmmakers to try too hard where subtlety might have worked better.

  • Inkaar

The trouble with Inkaar is that even if it does have a bunch of interesting ideas, they're lost in a muddled drama.

  • Naam Shabana

The problem at the root of this film is that it literally offers nothing new, other than the idea of a woman who knows her way around a fight. The plot is predictable from the word go, and yet it unfolds over an excruciating two-and-a-half hours.

  • Bharat

...is exhausting and pointless. It exists only to add to the legend of Salman Khan as the selfless provider, the man who has a heart as big as his biceps. In Bharat, Salman Khan plays Bhai.

  • Banjo

...the notion of a film about an undervalued genre of musicians is more compelling than "Banjo" itself.

  • Panipat

...ultimately is overlong and unwieldly. It may have its heart in the right place but its other organs are all over the place.

  • Prince

...marvelously moronic movie that uses visual effects to fake everything from stunt scenes and explosions, to hi-tech gizmos and even the Mumbai skyline.

  • Cocktail

With the right ingredients in the right proportions, this might have made for a smooth concoction. But Cocktail is a mostly flat romance; one that could've done with more heart.

  • Gunday

...isn't unwatchable, but it's certainly a case of potential squandered. The film has an authentic look and feel of 70s Calcutta, some robust cinematography, and a few good tunes. It's also got two live-wire leading men whose on-screen chemistry sadly isn't mined for enough laughs.

  • Kabir Singh

...is an unmistakably misogynistic film, but the sad part is that it’s exactly these troubling portions that the filmmakers peddle as intense love. Even more sad is that there will be many who’ll buy into it.
