  • Halkaa

...director Nila Madhab Panda has made a film with its heart in the right place and let’s hope the message it conveys reaches the right pockets...

...had the potential to be a really zesty surprise. But in the pursuit of turning it into an Indian family film on relationships the movie squandered all chances of the unique premise. But the strong emotional value and the slice-of-life dialogue of the movie do hold it in good stead.

  • Shimla Mirchi

Watch the film to catch a whiff of a bygone era where romance was all about a boy meeting a girl in picturesque locales. Shimla is no longer the visual paradise it used to be and sadly the formula too is past its sell-by date..

  • 7 Khoon Maaf

...where the film could have been deliciously dark, mad and off the rails, it ends up being just a disappointing above average weekend watch. Our hopes for a masterpiece of a film have just been done to death. Pity.

  • Munna Michael

What this movie lacks is self-belief and great music. If the whole point of the film was to make it a tribute to Michael Jackson then MJ’s original tunes should have been used.

  • Bhaiaji Superhittt

It’s a neo-retro product, a place-marker of sorts for the ‘anything goes’ school of filmmaking in Bollywood, which still has some dedicated followers despite changing times...

  • Baaghi 2

The film is a must watch for action junkies. Tiger is a true-blue action star alright and those craving for some high octane thrills won't come away disappointed.

  • Commando 3

...Vidyut Jammwal executes his stunts with a superhumanly fast and furious speed in the hope that his antics will take our mind off the asinine plot. Guess what, at times at least, he succeeds...

  • Khatta Meetha

Priyadarshan’s been innovative in making this film and though he’s managed to pull off a large part of this two-and-half-hour film, he has also failed in parts.

  • Wazir

The production, the sound, the action is all top notch. But the writing is King of the game in a film. The technique is merely a pawn. You can sacrifice the pawns but not the King.

  • Dhanak

If you believe in inspirational Instagram posts and the power of positivity, Dhanak is the film for you. The cynics might find the lack of gritty realism a bit too much, but even the most hardcore realists will agree that this little road movie ticks all the boxes when it comes to ending on a happy note.

  • Shivaay

It’s a pity that some tired writing foils the fun of an otherwise well thought out movie. Shivaay follows a strict code of storytelling.

  • Tu Hai Mera Sunday

It has novel ideas, but Tu Hai Mera Sunday’s intentions deserved a better execution. Director Milind Dhaimade isn’t able to get the required finesse in telling this tale.

...both Aayush and Warina have made decent debuts. A little more polish and a better choice of films will surely see them shine in future.

  • Khiladi 786

This is an out-an-out masala potboiler. Yes, it lacks the style and swagger usually associated with Khiladi films but it is as commercial as it gets.

  • Raja Natwarlal

The plot seems plausible and draws you in, whereas Raja Natwarlal’s plotlines are too clever for their own good. You stop believing in the con and the magic evaporates.

  • Tere Bin Laden Dead Or Alive

We don’t make broad comedies which border on the absurd and it’s good of Abhishek Sharma to attempt a political satire that does tickle the ivories. A little more attention to editing and tauter screenplay would have made it a better film for sure…

  • The Tashkent Files

Shastri's life is a much more interesting subject than his death. We wish someone makes a biopic on that, instead of speculating on his death. It should be stated that the film looks biased against a certain political party. Given the fact that elections are at hand, the film ideally should have been released post the voting...

  • Golmaal 3

If you're a fan of Golmaal films this one's tailor made to please you. Its not as good as the second one, but definitely a good addition to the series. If you're a first time viewer, you might feel a bit under pleased. And if you don’t conform to use of slapstick and campy humour, stay away.

  • Baadshaho

Even as it serves up all the tricks in the commercial cinema book, it never quite connects with the audience. The thrills pan out like empty stunts without the right emotion.

...there was a grain of a good idea somewhere which got lost thanks to slipshod handling. We could have had a true coming-of-age film about dacoit culture but sadly the finished product isn't that film.
