  • Love U...Mr. Kalakaar!

Like so many recent Rajshri films, any conflict or provocation mildly difficult to solve is scrubbed away, resulting in a sanitized script. It's all just so easy, makes you wonder what sort of cocoon the Barjatyas lead their charmed lives in.

  • Love Sonia

In his directorial debut, Tabrez Noorani is so consumed in narrating the dangerous reality of survivors of sex trafficking that he ignores the fact that he has to also engage audiences with his characters — for them to actually feel their plight.

  • Lootera

As much as I'd like to reward Lootera for it's craft I firmly believe that films can only win you over with the ability to tell a story. And this is where Lootera falters.

...corrupted beyond recognition by some pedestrian writing entirely dependent on puns, the absolute absence of logic, and some lethargic acting.

  • Lipstick Under My Burkha

The film explores India's twisted relationship with intercourse. Patriarchy defines it as a male need delivered by a female who can barely voice whether the act evokes pain or pleasure. And it is this voice that the film deliberates while referring to 'sapne' and how Indian women can't dare to see them.

  • Life Is Beautiful

The plot, though unoriginal about an Indian man trying to procure Canadian citizenship by entering into a marriage of convenience is the only aspect that remotely makes sense.

  • Lanka

...attempts a stand on domestic violence. Unfortunately, it can barely sit up as a film. And as for the audience, they'll be flat on their backs by the end of it.

  • Lakshmi

It makes you cringe for important reasons though, and must be watched for its relentless pursuit of relevance and authenticity.

  • Lahore

...doesn’t offer any fresh nuances in our troubled cross border relationships, and as a film it remains a decent watch.

  • Laal Kaptaan

It’s debatable whether this story could be told in a more compelling manner or not. But it’s surely one that didn’t warrant the runtime (155 minutes) and the action scenes could’ve used some aesthetic flourishes.

  • Kurbaan

Despite a difficult subject that deals with terrorism and Islam, the director gets the tone and pitch of the film just right...

  • Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz

The film’s story has barely much to offer but Onir carefully crafts emotionally-charged sequences that keep you interested and curious about the proceedings — even while the end is predictable.

  • Kuch Kuch Locha Hai

Before another male director has Leone play a nurse so that innuendos revolve around body exams and instruments, I suggest a blanket ban on bananas and Indian sex comedies.
