  • Half Girlfriend

When below average writing meets overenthusiastic hamming, it's like being simultaneously inflicted with a leg wound and a throbbing headache — you're reeling in pain from head to toe but can't tell which is more debilitating.

  • Haider

While this is far from his weakest effort, and better than most directors' strongest, Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider is only his third best Shakespeare adaptation.

  • Guzaarish

The beauty of the film lies in its ability to throw light on a morbid subject, compelling the viewer to fall back in love with life.

  • Gurgaon

Films have often typecast the original inhabitants of Gurugram like Hollywood films paint Texans: trigger-happy, bigoted millionaires who're as easily amused as they are irked. But this story takes the creative liberty to stretch this perception to amount to exaggeration.

  • Gunday

...leaving you mildly enraged with the hope of what could have been, especially given the inexhaustible resources at hand.

  • Gully Boy

The biggest challenge for director Zoya Akhtar was to ensure her eponymous slum rapper’s journey doesn’t exaggerate his sufferings and stereotype his marginalised existence for impact. On that front, she scores and even nails the emotional peaks and crushing lows.

  • Guddu Rangeela

Kapoor doesn't manage to establish the same mood he did in his previous directorial venture, Jolly LLB, but does enough to keep you hooked for almost 75 per cent of the film, before it begins to drag.

  • Great Grand Masti

Only one piece of advice for those rushing to catch this: carry along a chastity belt. It would be useful only if worn over the head, covering your eyes and ears.

  • Grand Masti

...is unabashedly gross, vulgar, crass, shameless and fearlessly adult. But for a moment one has to step back from the noise of dissent - from the guardians of Indian culture and their histrionic fatwas - and ask yourself one simple question: Who are we to choose for others?

  • Gone Kesh

Debutant director Qasim Khallow should be lauded for managing to contain this story within two hours. He also ensures the proceedings aren’t hurried and keeps one hooked even when the inevitable climax is predictable.

  • Golmaal 3

...is pretty much what it promises to be a silly comedy, idiotic enough to be enjoyed by all age groups with low entertainment expectations and high stress levels.

  • Gold

Director Reema Kagti ticks all the boxes here but seems a bit afraid that the proceedings could spill over into forced patriotism.

  • Go Goa Gone

...it was enthralling to watch Go Goa Gone in which directors Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru have taken a giant leap in introducing zombies in the mainstream and made a superb, gut-busting film while at it.

  • Global Baba

The film is hilarious, and the movie they are making within it even more so. It's an alien adventure with cheesy lines, silly plot points, and low production value.

  • Gangs Of Wasseypur

Kashyap strives to surprise and while every film requires an unconditional commitment of labor and love from its participant makers, the effort behind the making of a Gangs of Wasseypur is special.

  • Gang of Ghosts

I wouldn't go as far as declaring this imitation to be the best form of flattery, but Gang Of Ghosts does arouse enough curiosity to make you want to watch the real deal. Excuse me while I procure a DVD.

  • Game Over

If the first half could’ve been knocked off and this was dedicatedly a film about home invasion, it would’ve surely been a more focussed, if not a more thrilling watch. But then, that would have been an entirely different film.
