  • Khap

...a film that looks like the mangled matrimony of Moulin Rouge and Peepli Live. Both dreadful versions of. To think that this is what was intended from the very start: mass entertainer meets issue-based film is ludicrous.

  • Creature

Over the years, technicalities in Bhatt's films have evolved-but the incompetent writing continues to blur the lines between horror and (unintentional) comedy.

  • Rough Book

...is tiringly slow, lazily written and offers no novel insight into the acute crisis that our educational system presently faces.

  • Namaste England

Lack of conflict or chemistry between the lead couple, tedious dialogue and a mumbling monologue on how being an Indian is a matter of well-deserved pride (similar to the one in Namaste London (2007), minus the impact) restrict this story from taking any definitive direction.

  • Julie 2

Modestly-budgeted sleazy fests of the kind rarely invest in story and plot and get right down to delivering the goods. Julie 2 shatters this notion and packs in so much plot, it will make your brains rot.

...may have looked like a screwball crime comedy on paper, but you'd be hard pressed to come across a more awfully-executed production this year.

  • Hate Story IV

This one has it all—murders, conspiracy, deceit and enough lace and leather to keep front-benchers glued to their seats. But by the time we reach the climax and motives and plans are revealed, the only niggling issue is why go through such a winding scheme, when badla could be avenged through a couple of bullets?

  • Paharganj

While seedy underbellies have and will continue to fascinate filmmakers across geographies, the audience has seen enough to not be fooled by films that trade sex and drugs for an actual plot.

  • Will You Marry Me?

If only the makers had stuck to a single genre - either romance or drama or comedy and not this foolishly ambitious all encompassing idea of Will You Marry Me?, would have been a better film to watch.

  • Shortcut Romeo

The film tries so hard to be slick, you wonder that if it was shot in a realistic manner with real characters, it'd might have worked. Instead the movie is replete with pathetic production values.

The first rule is that these films should be scary and the actors, naturalistic. Their deaths should invoke horror, not glee and relief that they're finally being bumped off.
