  • Yeh Faasley

...never comes together as a film. None of the characters or their stories really grip you, the music is forced and mediocre, while most of the proceedings look staged, even as the fuzzy story loops around itself.

...is told with frantic cutting with little or no stay in scenes that demanded a lot more. It skims across themes: coming-of-age, social message, fictional biopic of the fall and rise and dwells on none.

  • Ishq Ke Parindey

Our filmmakers have milked the cross-border eternal romance angle dry. It's hard to tell if it's Indo-Pak tension that provides fodder for these done-to-death stories, or the stories that actually create tension between the nations.

...a terrible film, not worthy of anyone’s time or money. The storytelling is inconsistent and ludicrous, the performances range from ordinary to bad, while any sort of direction is painfully missing.

Shot years ago, most of the cast probably signed up for it early in their careers. This will be an uncomfortable watch, even for them.

Organ donation is a noble cause that this film picks up to endorse. But the superficial focus on the humanitarian act only draws attention away from it.

Usually, if anyone dares to criticize the craft behind 'well-intentioned tributes', the perpetrator's lack of patriotism and respect is invoked. However, today I am fighting for freedom: from mediocrity, and from oppression in cinema halls.
